Sinus attack! I went to a friend's house two nights ago and experienced an allergic insult. My sinuses are still reeling from the blow. I will spare you the details except to say that my swollen, dripping membranes and my throbbing sinuses are the exception. I feel fine otherwise.
Now that I've gotten that off my chest, we may continue.
Ethan and I have decided to get fresh organic local produce delivered to our door twice a month. Now, this is really exciting to me as I already have been cooking like crazy, enjoying the ease of having an entire kitchen to myself. This will make it much easier for us to eat lots of great and new organic vegetables. The quality and variety of produce we've eaten here far surpasses what we had when visiting Michigan recently. We got our first delivery the other day and you would be amazed at the robustness of these veggies! Plus the vast majority of it is grown locally so it's incredibly fresh. We got a large fluffy head of romaine, orange cherry tomatoes, kale, basil, corn, cucumbers, broccoli, spinach, red peppers, nectarines, peaches, pluots, bananas (the only thing that wasn't local), and red pears. I took a picture of it too, it was so beautiful, I'll get that up here later.
I'm going to a vegan potluck tonight and good thing too. I need to start chopping.
